वाघनख (मराठीत वाघनखे, वाघनख्या असेही म्हटले जाते) हे मराठ्यांच्या इतिहासातील महत्वाचे शस्त्र होते. याला वाघाच्या पंज्यावरील नखांप्रमाणे पोलादाची तीक्ष्ण नखे असत व मूठ वळल्यावर ती पंजात लपवता येत. हे ह्त्यार हातामधे धारण करून मूठ बंद केल्यावर बोटात दोन अंगठया घातल्याप्रमाणे दिसे. त्या अंगठया आतील बाजूने एका धातूच्या पट्टीने जोडलेल्या असून त्यावर तीक्ष्ण नखे लावलेली असत. यांचा उपयोग प्रामुख्याने लक्ष्यावर गुप्तपणे हल्ला चढवण्यासाठी केला जाई. छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजांनी अफजल खानाचा कोथळा याच शस्त्राने काढल्याचे म्हटले जाते. हे मूळ शस्त्र नसून प्रतिकृती आहे. याच्या ऐतिहासिक महत्वाचा मान राखून या शोभेच्या वस्तूचा गैरवापर टाळावा.
